I’m Rhonni, a seasoned veteran in the world of Renaissance Festivals for over three decades.
Fortunately for someone as ideaphoric as myself, I landed in an industry that not only tolerated constant reinvention and added skillsets … but encouraged and embraces such versatility.
I’ve worn many hats in this industry and excelled in numerous departments:
👷🏼♀️ As a designer/builder, I’ve crafted enchanting sales spaces for independent merchants and businesses I’ve built and sold. My artistic vision has extended to the layout and design of several festival grounds.
💼 As a manager and coordinator, I directed large teams as well as independent artists and entrepreneurs to create cohesive experiences for guests and customers.
🎯 As a mentor, I’ve guided entrepreneurs at various stages of their journeys, imparting the wisdom garnered from my own quests.
🍷 As a restaurateur, I’ve designed and directed seasonal venues that would easily gross multiple millions annually if they were open more than their gorgeous 17 day season each year. Though I admit … I believe seasonal restaurateuring is ABSOLUTELY the way to go, because you can enjoy the high-volume adrenaline rush without the job eating your life.

create bigger and better lives for themselves based in this darling and quirky industry.
Each autumn, I oversee teams of nearly 130 seasonal employees in the Houston area at the Largest Renaissance Festival in the United States.
Here, we weave magic by creating and vending enchanting, non-traditional festival fare to the event’s half-million annual patrons.
When my season ends, I go home to our super-insulated, solar powered house that is on acreage in a beachtown, and let myself be a hermitess for a solid month after our annual restaurants close. I start venturing out again in January.
I like it this way.
